We were without power for a few days, and I remember feeling so sorry for myself. But all in all, it was a great birthday for the circumstances. I realized how lucky i was because our house was still standing, and we did the best we could to celebrate my birthday.

These emissions have disastrous consequences for our planet. They are the main reason for the greenhouse effect and acid rains. An even greater environmental threat is nuclear power stations. People are beginning to realise that environmental problems are not somebody else's. They join and support various international organizations and green parties.

Thus, Frankenstein is a complicated creature. The monster’s actions show readers that he has the capacity to follow the rules of society. Yet he is also capable of pushing the rules aside and giving into his dark side. In this sense, the monster is not that different from Frankenstein himself.
