1. Explain the difference between intentional and unintentional equivocation.
2. Identify 2 examples of euphemisms AND 2 examples of equivocations in everyday interactions. These may be actual or made-up examples.
Answer:
See below
Explanation:
the definition for equivocation is "the use of ambiguous language to conceal the truth or to avoid committing oneself"
Unintentional equivocation is not intentionally trying to leave things out, but just confusing the person with a poorly made sentence. here is an example i found. imagine a child writing the following- "If the sun gives off light, then it obviously cannot be heavy.”
Intentional equivocation is basically using a word one way in one sentence, and then another way in another sentence. Here is an example I found. Hot dogs are better than nothing. Nothing is better than Hamburgers. Therefore, hot dogs are better than hamburgers.
Euphemisms are words we use instead of other words. For example we use gosh or darn in place of the more harsh versions.
What happened to the cfeeatire that turned him from a benevolent spirit to vengeful, bitter murder
In Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein," the creature's transformation from a benevolent spirit to a vengeful, bitter murderer is the result of several factors.
Initially, the creature is filled with a sense of wonder and curiosity about the world, but he quickly realizes that he is rejected by humans because of his grotesque appearance. As he becomes more and more isolated, the creature becomes increasingly bitter and resentful towards humans, particularly his creator, Victor Frankenstein. He also experiences a great deal of emotional pain as he witnesses the suffering of others and begins to understand his own loneliness and isolation.
The final straw for the creature comes when he asks Victor to create a mate for him, hoping that he will finally have a companion who understands him. When Victor ultimately refuses, the creature becomes consumed with rage and vows to seek revenge on his creator.
Overall, the creature's transformation is the result of a combination of societal rejection, emotional pain, and a sense of betrayal by the one person who he thought could offer him solace. These factors drive him to seek vengeance against those who have wronged him and to ultimately become a bitter and vengeful murderer.

Choose a scene the character is in that impacted them in some sort of way. How does the character react?
1 Civil Rights event that You connected with- Include minor details
Explanation:
Cecil Gaines is the protagonist in the movie "The Butler," who works as a butler in the White House for over three decades. Cecil is portrayed as a polite and service-oriented person who is dedicated to his job. He is a man of few words and always maintains his composure in the presence of the presidents he serves. Cecil is a static character, and his personality remains unchanged throughout the movie.
One of the most poignant quotes from Cecil is, "I have a place in this world, and it's wherever I want it to be." This quote speaks to Cecil's inner strength and determination to live a life that he chooses. Despite experiencing racial discrimination and injustices throughout his life, Cecil refuses to be a victim and instead chooses to persevere.
One scene in the movie that impacts Cecil greatly is when his son, Louis, is arrested while participating in a peaceful protest. Cecil, who is always obedient to the law and authority, is conflicted about his son's actions. However, after speaking to Louis, Cecil realizes the importance of fighting for justice and equal rights. This scene marks a turning point for Cecil and changes his perspective on the Civil Rights Movement.
One of the Civil Rights events that struck a chord with me was the lunch counter sit-ins in North Carolina. In this scene, a group of African American students peacefully protests by sitting at a "whites-only" lunch counter, and they are met with violence and hostility from white patrons. The scene highlights the injustice and violence that people of color faced during the Civil Rights Movement and the bravery of those who fought for change. Cecil's role in the movie as a witness to these events emphasizes the importance of acknowledging the past and learning from it.

The Widow Douglas she took me for her son, and allowed she would sivilize me; but it was rough living in the house all the time, considering how dismal regular and decent the widow was in all her ways; and so when I couldn't stand it no longer I lit out. Answer: Film Watched: The Ten Commandments (1956(
In the film The Ten Commandments, a young boy was sent through a river for protection from death in the land of the slaves. Found by Memnet, the queen of Egypt, the young boy was named Moses. As Moses grew into a man, he was brothered to Ramses, the soon-soon-to-be pharaoh of Egypt, and loved on Nefreteri, the wife of Ramses.
Moses later comes to realize that he is not Egyptian, and that he is Hebrew. He abandones the Egyptian palace, and his role as a king, to work as a slave where he knew he belonged. As Moses finds out that every Hebrew slave believed that there was a God amongst them, he is sent to cross Egypt by Ramses because every palace member discarded Moses for leaving the royalness to be a slave.
As Moses cross Egypt he finds himself a group of sisters lusting over him. Protecting the girls from intruders, he is said to wife one of the sisters. He chooses the eldest sister (the most faithful on in God), and she shows him the mountain where God lies. Moses climbs the mountain and hears the word of God. He is sent back to Egypt to warn the pharaohs and kings to let the Hebrews be free of bondage.
As Moses warns about ten plagues that will be sent to Egypt, King Ramses doesn't believe any of them. Not until they are done and his first born son dies, as Ramses had ordered that every first born Hebrew son must die.
Ramses is so furious with Moses and his God, that he sends all of his chariots after the Hebrews to be sent to death. Ramses's chariots all drown as they tried to follow the Hebrews through the Red Sea.
Traveled to the holy land, most of the Hebrews lose hope in their God and befile Moses. They built a calf (baby cow) as their idol worshiper. As they have sinned a great sin, Moses finds them, with two engraved stones in his hands. He tells them of their evil deed, and destroys their caaf idol.
All the evil men and women perish, as they are sent by Moses to find new land for themselves. And all of the Holy, are kept by God, in the healthy land.
