Does anyone one have any ideas and suggestions that I could use on my story? Mostly what I’m trying to write is something that has to deal with romance and drama as from two characters who fall in love but I’m not sure what plot it sure be and I’m not sure on how I could make it original?

Answers

Answer:

I'm just going to say random things

Love triangle.

Main character has to go abroad and learn how to manage long distance.

Enemies to lovers

An jealous ex trying to ruin the relationship between the main love interest and the main character.

Death ig.

Un-approving family and friends.

The family trying to break them up.

Two people who suck at loving one another.

A toxic relationship that neither characters can recognize.

I’d recommend taking inspiration from your favorite love stories, and the type of stories you like to read.

Also, decide if you want the bulk of the story with them being together and facing a problem with their relationship, or the conflicts that they face while falling in love.

I personally love forced proximity stories (in which the main characters are forced to be in contact with each other for some reason.) They are typically enemies to lovers or strangers to lovers, but could also be friends to lovers. (This is simply my personal preference; you do whatever you want!)

Have a main conflict that the characters face throughout the story, and don’t kill a character just to kill a character! If you are killing one off, have a reason for it! There needs to be a reason for the character to die for the story to progress, not just to add a death.

That’s all the advice I have; I hope it helps! Good luck in your writing endeavors!

After reading paragraphs 2-4, readers can infer that Thoreau believes people should make their own way in life rather than try to be like others.

Which detail from the text best supports this inference?

"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer."

"I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours."

"Shall we with pains erect a heaven of blue glass over ourselves, though when it is done we shall be sure to gaze still at the true ethereal heaven far above, as if the former were not?"

"If the condition of things which we were made for is not yet, what were any reality which we can substitute?"

Answers

The detail from the text which best supports this inference "Thoreau believes people should make their own way in life rather than try to be like others" is "if a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer."

According to the believe of Thoreau, people should grow at their own pace rather than trying to get like others. This will reduce imitation of something negative and envy.

Everyone should take a step by step way to succeed in their goals and stop trying to be like anyone because we are all created differently and for a different purpose.

Therefore, the details by which supports Thoreau's believe is "if a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer."

CONCLUSIONS WORKSHEET

Your conclusion is an important part of every writing piece. In an argument, it is your last chance to make your

claim, restate your reasons, and give your reader something memorable to think about. Your conclusion to

your argument MUST have these parts:

I. Acknowledge an opposing viewpoint

Let your reader know you have thought about the OPPOSITE point of view. You do not need to argue

against it – just let your reader know you are aware of other opinions. Choose ONE of the following

ways to write this.

a. Use the sentence below as a basic guide to acknowledge an objection.

Example:

Some people say that lying protects people’s feelings and it doesn’t harm anyone if you

tell “white” lies, but being honest is still a better foundation for good relationships.

Some people say instead of lying just tell the truth so later you don't hurt someone's feelings when they find out.

(what someone who disagrees with your claim would say)

but the fact is __lying does not hurt anyone feeling if you are protecting them from getting hurt. _________________________________________________________________.

(your answer to their statement)

b. State the opposing viewpoint, but say it your own way.

Example:

It can be hard to tell the truth all the time, especially when a grandparent gives you an

ugly Christmas sweater, and no one wants to hurt Granny’s feelings. Still, being honest is

better in the long run. After all, the holiday comes every year!

II. Restate your claim

Do NOT repeat your original O/P statement! Say the same thing, but use different words. The

sentence(s) do not need to be an O/P statement.

III. Restate your three reasons

This can be one sentence or three sentences. Do NOT add any new reasons or repeat any evidence

you used in the body paragraphs.

IV. Leave your reader with a final thought

Choose ONE of the following ways to write your LAST SENTENCE.

a. Call to Action – Ask your reader to DO something based on their agreement with your position.

Example:

Next time a friend asks you if their hair looks crazy on “crazy hair day” and it looks the same

way it always does, don’t tell that white lie!

b. Logical Prediction – Make a prediction about what life would be like if everyone agreed with your

position.

Example:

If more people just started telling the truth more often, we wouldn’t have to worry about

whom we could trust.

what do you mean by Active voice and passive voice

Answers

Here are examples of both.

Passive voice: “The deer was bothered by wolves.”
Active voice: “The wolves bothered the deer.”

Active voice takes the emphasis off of the deer. A good way I was taught to determine the difference is, if you can put “by zombies” at the end of the sentence, then it is passive voice.

Here is an example: “The homework was assigned by the teacher.”
Insert “by zombies.”
“The homework was assigned by zombies.” It still makes sense, so therefore it is passive voice.
But in active voice, it would be “The teacher assigned the homework.” If you added “by zombies” at the end of that sentence, it would not make sense.

This is what helped me memorize the difference so hopefully this can be helpful for you too.

Answer:

When a sentence is in the active voice, the subject of the sentence is the one doing the action expressed by the verb. In the passive voice, the subject is the person or thing acted on or affected by the verb's action. The passive voice is typically formed with a form of the verb be—such as is, was, or has been—and the past participle of the verb, as in "The ball was thrown by Jerry."

What is the tone in Sorry, Right Number?

Answers

Answer:

When saying sorry, there is a sad tone to it.

Explanation:

In this case, saying “Sorry, Right Number” gives off an apologetic feeling. If you are sorry about something, that means you feel regret or pity or sympathy.

In this case also, saying “Sorry, Right Number” means that you are possibly showing regret at the most.

However, if we are talking about the actual film “Sorry, Right Number” (which I didn’t here about until just earlier today) then there is a different case. It is possible the tone of this film is possible horror or suspenseful tone.

For Williford, the inner struggle and loss of innocence are represented via metaphors. As a result of his father abandoning him without a coat, it's very cold outdoors, as he explains. That Williford's character was abused by Williford's father and that his father left him without a coat further illustrates this, as well as the fact that the father of this character is abandoning him without any kind of help/safety in this cold and harsh climate. There is no one else to help the character through these challenges.
