They do not regenerate and are not replenished or renewed. They include the fossil fuels we use to generate energy (natural gas, coal, and oil). describe the effect on chlorophyll-containing photosystems when the chlorophyll molecules absorb photons of light?

Answers

When chlorophyll-containing photosystems absorb photons of light, the energy from the light is transferred to the chlorophyll molecules. This energy excites the electrons in the chlorophyll, causing them to move to a higher energy level.

This process is called photoexcitation. The excited electrons are then passed through a series of electron transport chains or photosynthetic pigments, eventually leading to the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate) and NADPH (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate), which are used as energy carriers in the process of photosynthesis.

What is the Chlorophyll  about?

The overall effect of the above process is the conversion of light energy into chemical energy, which is then used by plants to produce glucose (a sugar) from carbon dioxide and water. This process is known as the light-dependent reactions of photosynthesis.

Therefore, Chlorophyll also plays another role in photosynthesis, it helps to protect the plant from excess light. When the light is too intense, the chlorophyll molecules can become over-excited, which can lead to the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) that can damage the plant cells.

Hydrophilic as well as polar amino acids and hydrophobic or non-polar amino acids are the two types of amino acids that make up this type of protein. Peripheral proteins are present in the structure, meaning they are not integrated into the cell membrane and are exposed to the intercellular fluid, even though they are weakly linked with the membrane. Because of this, it solely contains hydrophilic amino acids.

The hydrophobic amino acids in the protein's main amino acid sequence help identify it as a transmembrane protein. Methionine (Met), leucine (Leu), valine (Val), glycine (Gly), tryptophan (Trp), isoleucine (Ile), phenylalanine (Phe), proline (Pro), and alanine make up this group of amino acids (Ala)

which of the following statements describes why the study of primate behavior and morphology is a part of biological anthropology?

Answers

Primates are our nearest biological relatives. this statement describes why the study of primate behavior and morphology is a part of biological anthropology.

Physical anthropology, commonly referred to as biological anthropology, is a branch of science that focuses on the biological and behavioural characteristics of living things, including humans, extinct hominin relatives, and closely related non-human primates, especially from an evolutionary standpoint. Using a biological lens, this branch of anthropology conducts systematic investigations of people. Biological anthropology is a subfield of anthropology that has numerous branches within it. All branches share a common orientation toward using evolutionary theory to comprehend human biology and behaviour, or they use it in this way. By examining human remains found in an archaeological setting, a field of research known as bioarchaeology studies earlier human cultures.

The process which is performed by the ribosome, of reading mRNA and synthesizing a protein is called translation. Amino acids are attached to the tRNA by enzymes called aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases.

Translation is the process which involves the reading of the mRNA strand in order to produce a protein product. It is performed by the ribosomes which are present in the cell. It begins at the start codon and terminates when the ribosome reaches the stop codon present in the mRNA sequence.

The RNA which contains an amino acid attached to it and binds the codon to the mRNA sequence is known as the tRNA. Amino acids are attached to tRNA by enzymes known as aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases.

which of the following statements is a correct comparison between mitosis and meiosis? mitosis produces identical haploid cells for growth, while meiosis produces diploid somatic cells for repair. mitosis produces haploid somatic cells for growth, while meiosis produces identical haploid cells for asexual reproduction. mitosis produces diploid body cells for repair, while meiosis produces haploid gamete cells for reproduction. mitosis produces diploid gamete cells for growth, while meiosis produces haploid somatic cells for reproduction.

Answers

From the given statement the correct comparison between mitosis and meiosis is that mitosis produces diploid body cells for repair, but meiosis produces haploid gamete cells for reproduction.

Mitosis is the cell division happening in a body for the growth and repair of the body. In mitosis DNA is duplicated and two similar set of chromosomes are produced. The resulting cell will be two diploid somatic cell, which have the same DNA as the mother cell.

Meiosis is cell division happening mainly to produce gamete cells which is aimed for reproduction. Here the DNA is duplicated, but result will be the production of 4 gamete cells with only 1/2 the amount of DNA as the mother cell. Meiosis takes place in two stages. In meiosis 1 the homologous chromosomes forms and two nuclei are formed. In meiosis 2, reduction division takes place. The chromosome number is reduced in half.

So, as a result of mitosis two diploid somatic cells are produced, aimed for growth, repair or asexual reproduction. But in meiosis four haploid gamete cells are produced for reproduction.
