Now,
Time taken by sound to reach the ground = time taken by light + 18.749.
0.002 + 18.749
= 18.75
Now, t = 18.75
d = 6km
Speed = 6000/18.75
= 320m/s
Thus, we concluded that if boy heard the thunder 18.74998 seconds after the lightening of a storm which is at a distance 6km , so the speed of sound in air is 320m/s.
