Answer the following in several complete sentences:
How do external cues, internal emotions, and order of appearance influence memory retrieval?
Answer:
External cues activate associations that help us retrieve memories; this process may occur without our awareness, as it does in priming. Returning to the same physical context or emotional state (mood congruency) in which we formed a memory can help us retrieve it. The serial position effect accounts for our tendency to recall best the last items (which may still be in working memory) and the first items (which we've spent more time rehearsing) in a list.
Explanation:
i took the test?
The three ways that information can be retrieved from your long-term memory storage system are recall, recognition, and relearning.
What is the difference between external cues, internal emotions, and order of appearance that influences memory retrieval?External cues elicit feelings and memories because they are similar to past events or things we have seen.
Typically, exterior stimuli and experiences serve as triggers for internal emotions. An external event (such as the unexpected loss of a loved one) will be more deeply etched in memory if it has a significant emotional component.
In all other respects being equal, the hippocampus stores short-term memories in the cortex, where they are stored for a longer period, and preserves memories in a sequential order of appearance. Thus, we frequently remember things in the same order.
Memory retrieval is generally prompted by external cues and other memories. It helps us make sense of and respond to external events. It helps us think things through by connecting related memories.

Networks of exchange often helped to transport goods and cultures around the world as well as religious belief. These religions had huge impacts on an empire's growth as most supported or had a main religion in which they would try to spread. Though there are many empires as well as states within them that were heavily religious, there are a few main ones that can represent how belief systems affected their growth. These representations can be found as the Ottoman Empire and the Roman-to-French Empire.
The Ottoman Empire was very prosperous during the period circa 1300 and in the following centuries, though it reached its height under Suleiman the Magnificent, who reigned in the period 1520-1566. Religion was very important in the Ottoman Empire and it had a great influence on the various activities during its rule. Economy and Education were two of the many things that religion had an influence on and impacted. It was inspired and sustained by Islam and Islamic institutions. This use of religious belief, specifcally Islam, changed the social classes and their order of heiarchy. Religion allowed for a very strong social structure and eventually a type of bureaucracy system in which state-officials could have control over the people while simultaneously sharing the same faith and trust in their God. A few specific states that helped to the contribution of the Islamic belief was Syria and parts of Arabia, these places were well known, especially on the Silk Road, for its devotion and knowledge of Islam. Those who were within the Ottoman Empire were devoted and dedicated to their belief, so much so that when the empire conquered territories the surrounding villages were required a specific quota of boys to be sent as tribute to the military to be warriors. The boys were generally taken from the Balkan provinces or encompassing states, converted to Islam, and then passed through a series of examinations to determine their intelligence and capabilities. By the end of the 15th century, the Ottoman Empire relied heavily on the expansion and conversion of Islam that included much of the territory where Islam was practiced.
Just as the Ottoman Empire was widely based on religion, so was the Roman Empire. Trade routes, specifically the Indian Ocean routes, and Missionaries are some of the factors that lead to spread of many religions, most of which were Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity. Between 1200 and 1450, regional kingdoms of France, England, and the Holy Roman Empire became solidified. In the beginning, each power was tied to the Catholic Church and feudal. Although, eventually the protestant reforms marked a break in Christian traditions and eventually led to its growth. The predominantly Christian Europe, particularly the Roman Empire, saw the spread of Islam up the Iberian peninsula as a threat. As a counteractant, the empire heavily enforced Christain as its belief system as well as into its whole social structure, as the church was mainly the ruler of the empire. Although some states, like England and France eventually broke off from the empire, they still carried the Roman Empire’s structure and religion which helped it grow for a while. As for France in their religious justifications and beliefs, they used the Divine Right of Kings which helped to solidify the absolute monarchs of these states, these monarchs were rulers who had specific laws that stayed within that conformed to Christain ideals but also gave them control and power over their subjects. Christains were devoted as well but very strict when it came to their laws, so these conforming rules helped to keep the people in line with the monarchs.
While the Ottoman, Roman, and then France Empires beliefs systems were mostly different, their policies were similar as they all conformed to a religious structure. As well as control of education and activities based on their religion and what they thought was true or holy unto their Gods. The use of religion helped to create strong community bonds, reinforce social stratification, and allow rulers to justify their reign.
The religious belief system affected the Ottoman and Safavid Empires in a very imposing way.
We can arrive at this answer as follows:
The Ottoman Empire was composed of Sunni Muslims.Their leaders had to be compulsorily Muslims, but they were adherents of religious freedom for their subjects and especially for dominated regions.Religious tolerance was encouraged in the Ottoman Empire, but Islam was used as a governmental effect. The Safavid empire was composed of Shiite Muslims. This empire did not practice religious freedom and imposed a forced conversion on all subjects.Dominated people were forced to convert to Islam, or faced harsh reprisals. With that, we can affirm that the two empires had religious beliefs as very important points of their establishment, however, the Safavid empire used these beliefs in a very rigid and influential way in all the social, governmental, and economic branches.

John Marshall was one of the most famous and distinguished Chief Justice of the Supreme Court who had an everlasting effect on the Constitution. In 1796, he took on a significant case known as Dartmouth College vs. Woodward. Little did he know this case would lead to a landmark decision in the United States corporate law from the Supreme Court. In doing so, the outcome of this case developed the meaning of the Constitution because a clause was created that prohibited state legislatures from interfering with individual property rights. This is also known as Amendment four in the Bill of Rights, and could not have been down without the help of John Marshall.

A. Write about classical conditioning by identifying and giving an example of an unconditioned stimulus, an unconditioned response, a neutral stimulus, a conditioned stimulus, a conditioned response, a stimulus discrimination, and a stimulus generalization that you have experienced or seen.
B. Cite four examples of operant conditioning you have experienced or seen. Be sure to cite the particular behavior and the consequence (reinforcer or punisher).
Classical conditioning is a type of learning that had a major influence on the school of thought in psychology known as behaviorism. Discovered by Russian physiologist Ivan Pavlov, classical conditioning is a learning process that occurs through associations between an environmental stimulus and a naturally occurring stimulus.
Classical conditioning involves placing a neutral signal before a naturally occurring reflex. In Pavlov's classic experiment with dogs, the neutral signal was the sound of a tone and the naturally occurring reflex was salivating in response to food. By associating the neutral stimulus with the environmental stimulus (food), the sound of the tone alone could produce the salivation response.
In order to understand how more about how classical conditioning works, it is important to become familiar with the basic principles of the process. Classical conditioning involves forming an association between two stimuli resulting in a learned response. There are three basic phases of this process.
The first part of the classical conditioning process requires a naturally occurring stimulus that will automatically elicit a response. Salivating in response to the smell of food is a good example of a naturally occurring stimulus.
During this phase of the processes, the unconditioned stimulus (UCS) results in an unconditioned response (UCR).
For example, presenting food (the UCS) naturally and automatically triggers a salivation response (the UCR).
At this point, there is also a neutral stimulus that produces no effect yet. It isn't until this neutral stimulus is paired with the UCS that it will come to evoke a response.

Incomplete question. Here's the remaining part of the question and the poem:
In the following poem by Gregory Pardlo (published in 2007), the speaker describes watching children playing double Dutch-a version of jumping rope in which two ropes are turned in opposite directions.
Read the poem carefully. Write a paragraph in which you make a defensible claim regarding how Pardlo uses simile and metaphor to convey a complex image of the girls. In your paragraph, you should incorporate at least one piece of evidence from the text to support your claim .
"The girls turning double-dutch
bob & amp; weave like boxers pulling
punches, shadowing each other,
sparring across the slack cord
casting parabolas in the air. They
whip quick as an infant's pulse
and the jumper, before she
enters the winking, nods in time
as if she has a notion to share,
waiting her chance to speak. But she's
anticipating the upbeat
like a bandleader counting off
the tune they are about to swing into.
The jumper stair-steps into mid-air
as if she's jumping rope in low-gravity,
training for a lunar mission. Airborne a moment
long enough to fit a second thought in,
she looks caught in the mouth bones of a fish
as she flutter-floats into motion
like a figure in a stack of time-lapse photos
thumbed alive. Once inside,
the bells tied to her shoestrings rouse the gods
who've lain in the dust since the Dutch
acquired Manhattan. How she dances
patterns like a dust-heavy bee retracing
its travels in scale before the hive. How
the whole stunning contraption of girl and rope
slaps and scoops like a paddle boat.
Her misted skin arranges the light
with each adjustment and flex. Now heather-
hued, now sheen, light listing on the fulcrum
of a wrist and the bare jutted joints of elbow
and knee, and the faceted surfaces of muscle,
surfaces fracturing and reforming
like a sun-tickled sleeve of running water.
She makes jewelry of herself and garlands
the ground with shadows."
Explanation:
Remember, a simile refers to a literary device that employs the use of comparisons of one thing or subject with another thing of a different kind using such as, "like" or "as".
While a metaphor refers to a literary device unlike a simile, makes comparisons between two things that are not exactly alike but do have something in common usually in a figurative sense.
For example, we notice the author's use of simile when he said,
"The girls turning double-dutch
bob & amp; weave like boxers pulling
punches,"
Here he compares the girl's physical activity of "turning jumping ropes" to literal "boxers pulling punches", making such seemingly simple/less strenuous activity look complex.
