A produce store offers red and green apple. In one morning they sold 85 apples. If 40 of the apples they sold were red, what is the ratio of green apples sold to red apples sold?

Answers

Answer 1

A produce store sells both red and green apples. A morning saw the sale of 85 apples. If 40 of the apples they sold were red, then the ratio of green to red apples sold would be 1.

How is a ratio determined? What is a ratio?

When two figures are being compared, ratios typically divide the two numbers. One data point (A) would be compared to some other data point (B) using the formula A/B. (B). This unequivocally proves that you are dividing Information A by Information B.

Ratios show how frequently a number appears with another in mathematics. The ratio of oranges to lemons on a fruit platter would be eight to six if there were eight oranges and six lemons. The proportion of oranges to all fruit is 8:14, whereas the proportion of lemons to oranges is 6:8.

Formulate based on the conditions stated: (85 - 40) /40

Determine the total or difference: [tex]\frac{45}{40}[/tex]

City : Haversham (I made this up)

Answers

Answer: The name of my city is Haversham and It is located in Australia. It was built in 2020 by the hard work of its residence. It is a very well developed city but still faces many difficulties such as a growing population and severe weather but we are continuing to work hard to make it the best city.

A couple of years ago it was a small village with 100-200 residence but due to a sudden increase in population we had to plan new residence areas as well as places that provided daily necessities (such as shopping malls, markets, etc.). we also planed routes that would make travelling easier and built parks and other fun places for kids to visit with their parents.

While developing our city we had many problems but the most serious were the in experience of the engineers in building and the low quality materials as such we had to hire people from other cities and had to also import materials from other places.

Overall the city was very well planned and built but if I could get another chance there are some things I would have wanted to change, such as I would have planned  it much bigger and I would have added more parks (as they are usually crowded).

In my opinion I think my city would benefit very much as well as the residence as the city is located near the sea making it a suitable place for trading with cities from other countries and due to the planning the residential area is near the central business district (CBD) making it easier for people to go to work.

The social class of Hidalgo that is challenging.

In Mexican history, Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla was a Catholic priest and one of the leaders of the Mexican War of Independence against Spain in the early 19th century. Hidalgo's challenge was primarily directed at the Spanish colonial government and the ruling class of Spanish-born aristocrats known as the peninsulares, who held most of the political and economic power in colonial Mexico.

Hidalgo and his followers, who were mainly indigenous people and mestizos (people of mixed European and indigenous ancestry), sought to overthrow the Spanish colonial government and create a more equitable society in which Mexicans of all social classes would have greater political and economic opportunities. They also opposed the privileges enjoyed by the peninsulares, who were seen as exploiting Mexico's resources and people for their own benefit.

Francisco Pizarro, the great Spanish who overthrew the Incas, sent 200 soldiers with firearms against an army of 80,000 locals. Similar expeditions to seize control of the whole region were launched from the capital in Lima across the continent leading to many deaths. Different approaches were taken by Booker T. Washington and W. E. B. DuBois to address the issues that African Americans faced at the close of the 19th and the start of the 20th centuries.

Washington focused more on trying to gradually enact equality, whereas DuBois adopted a more prompt strategy. Although Washington and DuBois held contrasting opinions, it can be said that both men made significant contributions to advancing equality for Black Americans.

DuBois believed that assimilation was the greatest way to address racism toward African Americans. He was more concerned with academic education to create equality between many African Americans and help them escape poverty. DuBois disagreed with Washington's civil rights ideas but acknowledged his achievements and called for a new strategy.

In a five paragraph essay, analyze the significance of manifest destiny. Be sure to discuss both positive and negative results. Your response should include discussions on the impact on Native Americans as well as the increasing of the size of the United States.

Answers

Manifest Destiny was a concept that emerged in the mid-19th century, which argued that it was the destiny of the United States to expand its territory across the entire North American continent. This idea had both positive and negative consequences, impacting both Native Americans and the growth of the United States.

On the positive side, Manifest Destiny led to the rapid expansion of the United States, which brought significant economic and strategic benefits. The acquisition of territories such as Louisiana, Florida, and California, as well as the annexation of Texas, provided the United States with valuable resources, such as fertile land, minerals, and ports. It also opened up new trade routes and markets, helping to stimulate economic growth and create jobs.

However, this expansion came at a high cost to Native Americans. As the United States expanded westward, it displaced millions of indigenous people from their land, leading to violence, forced removal, and cultural genocide. The Indian Removal Act of 1830, which forced Native Americans to move from their ancestral lands to Indian Territory, resulted in the deaths of thousands of people. This policy had a lasting impact on Native American communities, leading to the loss of culture, language, and traditional ways of life.

Moreover, the concept of Manifest Destiny reflected a sense of American exceptionalism, which justified the use of force to spread American values and ideals. This led to a belief in the superiority of American culture over that of other nations and the use of violence to impose American beliefs on others. This idea had negative consequences for U.S. foreign relations, leading to a perception of American imperialism and interventionism in other countries.

In conclusion, Manifest Destiny had a significant impact on the growth of the United States, bringing economic and strategic benefits. However, it also led to the displacement and mistreatment of Native Americans, resulting in cultural genocide and the loss of traditional ways of life. Furthermore, it reflected a sense of American exceptionalism that led to a belief in the use of force to spread American ideals, leading to negative perceptions of U.S. foreign policy. Overall, while Manifest Destiny played a significant role in the growth of the United States, it also had negative consequences that continue to impact American society today.

The line was designed to force any invading army to go around it, rather than through it. Despite its impressive engineering and cost, the line ultimately failed to stop the German invasion in World War II, as the Germans simply went around it by invading through Belgium.

who benefited more in the patronato real the Christians or the Spanish government?
What are the benefits of the Christians and the Spanish government? And who has more?

Answers

The Patronato Real was a system established by the Spanish monarchy in the 16th century, which granted them significant control over the Catholic Church in the Spanish Empire. The system was designed to give the Spanish crown the power to appoint bishops, control church finances, and oversee the activities of the church in the New World.

In terms of who benefited more from the Patronato Real, it is difficult to say definitively whether the Christians or the Spanish government benefited more. On one hand, the system gave the Spanish government significant control over the church, which allowed them to use the church to further their own political and economic interests. On the other hand, the system also allowed the church to spread Christianity throughout the New World, which was seen as a major benefit by many Christians.

Some of the benefits of the Christians under the Patronato Real included access to religious services and education, the spread of Christianity and its associated values, and protection and support from the church in times of need. The Spanish government, on the other hand, benefited from increased control over the church, which allowed them to exert their influence over church activities and finances, as well as use the church to advance their political and economic interests.

Overall, it is difficult to say which group benefited more from the Patronato Real, as both the Christians and the Spanish government received significant benefits from the system. However, it is clear that the Spanish government had much more power and control over the church under this system than it did in many other parts of the world at the time.

ENGLISH ANSWER: The Haitian revolution was a successful insurrection by self-liberated slaves against French colonial rule in Saint-Domingue, now the sovereign state of Haiti. The revolt began on 22 August 1791, and ended in 1804 with the former colony's independence. It involved black, biracial, French, Spanish, British, and Polish participants—with the ex-slave Toussaint Louverture emerging as Haiti's most prominent general. The revolution was the only slave uprising that led to the founding of a state which was both free from slavery (though not from forced labor and ruled by non-whites and former captives. It is now widely seen as a defining moment in the history of the Atlantic World.

Haiti at the beginning of the Haitian revolution in 1791.

The revolution's effects on the institution of slavery were felt throughout the Americas. The end of French rule and the abolition of slavery in the former colony was followed by a successful defense of the freedoms the former slaves won and, with the collaboration of already free people of color, their independence from white Europeans. The revolution represented the largest slave uprising since Spartacus' unsuccessful revolt against the Roman Republic nearly 1,900 years earlier, and challenged long-held European beliefs about alleged black inferiority and about slaves' ability to achieve and maintain their own freedom. The rebels' organizational capacity and tenacity under pressure inspired stories that shocked and frightened slave owners in the hemisphere.
