Answer:
Fatty Acids
A lipid is an organic compound such as fat or oil. Organisms use lipids to store energy, but lipids have other important roles as well. Lipids consist of repeating units called fatty acids. Fatty acids are organic compounds that have the general formula CH3(CH2)nCOOH" role="presentation" style="display: inline-table; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-size: 17.6px; text-indent: 0px; text-align: left; text-transform: none; letter-spacing: normal; word-spacing: normal; overflow-wrap: normal; white-space: nowrap; float: none; direction: ltr; max-width: none; max-height: none; min-width: 0px; min-height: 0px; border: 0px; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; position: relative;">CH3(CH2)nCOOHCH3(CH2)nCOOH, where n" role="presentation" style="display: inline-table; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-size: 17.6px; text-indent: 0px; text-align: left; text-transform: none; letter-spacing: normal; word-spacing: normal; overflow-wrap: normal; white-space: nowrap; float: none; direction: ltr; max-width: none; max-height: none; min-width: 0px; min-height: 0px; border: 0px; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; position: relative;">nn usually ranges from 2 to 28 and is always an even number. There are two types of fatty acids: saturated fatty acids and unsaturated fatty acids.
Saturated Fatty Acids
In saturated fatty acids, carbon atoms are bonded to as many hydrogen atoms as possible. This causes the molecules to form straight chains, as shown in the figure below. The straight chains can be packed together very tightly, allowing them to store energy in a compact form. This explains why saturated fatty acids are solids at room temperature. Animals use saturated fatty acids to store energy.
Figure 14.2.1" role="presentation" style="display: inline-table; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-size: 16px; text-indent: 0px; text-align: left; text-transform: none; letter-spacing: normal; word-spacing: normal; overflow-wrap: normal; white-space: nowrap; float: none; direction: ltr; max-width: none; max-height: none; min-width: 0px; min-height: 0px; border: 0px; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; position: relative;">14.2.114.2.1: Structures of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids.
Unsaturated Fatty Acids
In unsaturated fatty acids, some carbon atoms are not bonded to as many hydrogen atoms as possible due to the presence of one or more double bonds in the carbon chain. Instead, they are bonded to other groups of atoms. Wherever carbon binds with these other groups of atoms, it causes chains to bend (see figure above). The bent chains cannot be packed together very tightly, so unsaturated fatty acids are liquids at room temperature. Plants use unsaturated fatty acids to store energy.
Figure 14.2.2" role="presentation" style="display: inline-table; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; line-height: normal; font-size: 16px; text-indent: 0px; text-align: left; text-transform: none; letter-spacing: normal; word-spacing: normal; overflow-wrap: normal; white-space: nowrap; float: none; direction: ltr; max-width: none; max-height: none; min-width: 0px; min-height: 0px; border: 0px; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; position: relative;">14.2.214.2.2: Saturated fatty acids have only single bonds while monounsaturated fats have one double bond and polyunsaturated fats have more than one double bond.
Lipids and Diet
Unsaturated fat is generally considered to be healthier because it contains fewer calories than an equivalent amount of saturated fat. Additionally, high consumption of saturated fats is linked to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Some examples of foods with high concentrations of saturated fats include butter, cheese, lard, and some fatty meats. Foods with higher concentrations of unsaturated fats include nuts, avocado, and vegetable oils such as canola oil and olive oil.
Fructose is a simple carbohydrate sugar, while triglycerides are the lipids or the fats of the body. Thus, option C is accurate.
What are triglycerides and fructose?Triglycerides are lipids of the body that are formed of fatty acids and glycerols. It makes the body fat of the animals and of the plants. They are stored in cells for future use and provide energy when needed.

fluid in the
A) urinary bladder
C) alveoli
B) gallbladder
D) lymph nodes
To solve this we must be knowing each and every concept related to lymph node. Therefore, the correct option is option D among all the given options.
What is lymph nodes?A lymph node, sometimes known as a lymphatic gland, is indeed a kidney-shaped lymphatic and immune system component. The lymphatic veins connect a massive amount of lymph nodes to one another throughout the body.
Most lymph nodes lie within the trunk adjacent to other major structures in the body - such as the paraaortic lymph nodes and the tracheobronchial lymph nodes. The lymphatic drainage patterns are different from person to person and even asymmetrical on each side of the same body. Bacteria and dead cells are removed from circulatory fluid in the lymph nodes.
Therefore, the correct option is option D.

How many grams of CO2 are produced using 0.29 moles of O2?
The mass of CO2 produced using 0.29 moles of O2 is 12.76 grams.
The reaction between carbon and pxygen atom is exprssed as:
C + O2 -> CO2From he balanced equation, we can see that 1 mole O2 reacted to produce 1 mole of CO2.Hence if 0.29 moles of CO2 was used in the reaction, the number of moles of CO2 produced will be 0.29 moles as well.Mass of CO2 = number of moles * molar mass
Mass of CO2 = 0.29 * (12 + 32)
Mass of CO2 = 0.29 * 44
Mass of CO2 = 12.76grams
Hence the mass of CO2 produced using 0.29 moles of O2 is 12.76 grams.

You are studying the boiling points of liquids with some fellow students. You have two liquids of different molecular weights, and you test each of them twice. You find that the one with a lower molecular weight also has a lower boiling point. You would like to be more confident with the pattern you are noticing. What are two possible next steps? In one to two sentences, give specific, different examples of how the experiment could be extended, assessed, or improved.
The boiling points of two or three other pairs of liquids in which one liquid has a lower molecular mass than the other can be studied in order to see if the pattern is consistent.
The boiling point of a substance refers to the temperature at which its vapor pressure is equal to the atmospheric pressure. The boiling point of a substance has a lot to do with its molecular mass.
Generally, substances that has a higher molecular mass has a higher boiling point except other factors at at work. In order to confirm whether the pattern that you are noticing about molecular weights and boiling point is consistent, three other liquids with different molecular masses, one being higher than the other can be studied and their boiling points compared.

A sample of Ammonia gas at 650mmHg and 15 degree has a mass of 56.8g.calculate the volume occupied by the gas. Take N=14, H=1,R=8.3145jk.
Answer:
The first thing we have to do is change and state all the units so that we can use our ideal gas law equation ([tex]PV = nRT[/tex]).
650 mmHg is a pressure unit, we have to convert this to kiloPascals. We know that 760 mmHg gives us 101 kPa.
[tex]650 \ mmHg \ * \ \frac{101kPa}{760 mmHg} = 86 \ kPa[/tex]
P = 86kPa
T = 15°C + 273K = 288K
R (Gas constant) = 8.31 kj/mol
Molar mass of Ammonia ([tex]NH_{3}[/tex]) = (1 x 3) + (14) = 17g/mol
n (moles) = [tex]\frac{mass}{molar \ mass}[/tex] [tex]= \frac{56.8}{17} =[/tex] 3.34 mol
V = ?
Rearrange the equation to solve for Volume:
[tex]V = \frac{nRT}{P}[/tex]
Substitute the values inside:
V = [tex]\frac{(3.34)(8.31)(288)}{(86)} = 93 L (rounded)[/tex]
Therefore 93 L of volume is occupied by the ammonia gas.

The painkiller, Advil® contains the active ingredient ibuprofen (IB), which has a pKb of
5.20. If the pH of a solution containing a dissolved tablet of Advil® was found to be
8.20, what was the equilibrium concentration (mol/L) of ibuprofen?
IB + H2O ⇀ IBH+ + OH−
A) 3.7 × 10−4
B) 5.5 × 10−5
C) 2.8 × 10−7
D) 4.0 × 10−7
E) 9.2 × 10−7
This problem is providing the basic dissociation constant of ibuprofen (IB) as 5.20, its pH as 8.20 and is requiring the equilibrium concentration of the aforementioned drug by giving the chemical equation at equilibrium it takes place. The obtained result turned out to be D) 4.0 × 10−7 M, according to the following work:
First of all, we set up an equilibrium expression for the given chemical equation at equilibrium, in which water is omitted for it is liquid and just aqueous species are allowed to be included:
[tex]Kb=\frac{[IBH^+][OH^-]}{[IB]}[/tex]
Next, we calculate the concentration of hydroxide ions and the Kb due to the fact that both the pH and pKb were given:
[tex]pOH=14-8.20=5.80[/tex]
[tex][OH^-]=10^{-5.8}=1.585x10^{-6}M[/tex]
[tex]Kb=10^{-5.20}=6.31x10^{-6}[/tex]
Then, since the concentration of these ions equal that of the conjugated acid of the ibuprofen (IBH⁺), we can plug in these and the Kb to obtain:
[tex]6.31x10^{-6}=\frac{(1.585x10^{-6})(1.585x10^{-6})}{[IB]}[/tex]
Finally, we solve for the equilibrium concentration of ibuprofen:
[tex][IB]=\frac{(1.585x10^{-6})(1.585x10^{-6})}{6.31x10^{-6}}=4.0x10^{-7}[/tex]
